Eros is a long narrow asteroid, approximately 33 km from end to end, 14 km wide and 14 km high.
Imagine it carefully laid on the surface of Earth near Bendigo. The massive rock would stretch from Eaglehawk to Eppalock. It would be the tallest mountain on Earth, towering 14 km into the sky. (Mount Everest is only 9 km heigh).
