Data and Discovery

This plot shows our supernova data. Across the bottom axis is Distance (or equivalently time since the SN exploded). The side axis shows change in the Expansion rate from its current rate. The points indicate that the Universe is not slowing down, There will not be a Big Crunch (gnaB giB). Furthermore, the data points indicate that rather than simply coasting, the Universe is actually accelerating!

The data points obtained by the High-Z SN Search team indicate that, instead of slowing down or just coasting, the expansion rate of the Universe is actually accelerating.
