Around 10 am the same day, I returned to the area and sat under a bush beside a shallow pond. After some time, the bird flew to a shady spot, across the pond, about 12 metres from the camera. It turned over leaves and twigs, fossicking for food. From time to time it paused, holding its horizontal stance.
