The Evolution of Australia's Corvids

The population first split into a species of crows that occupied the northern Torresian forests and a species of ravens that occupied the southern Bassian forests.

The crows have pure white feather bases and undulate like cuckoos as they call in flight. The ravens have grey feather bases and do not undulate as they call in flight.
